The Heart of Sound & Breath Weekend Retreat
March 20-22, 2026 The Heart of Sound & Breath A Retreat in Nada, Prana & Awareness Sound as vibration. Breath as life force. The heart as gateway. This immersive retreat explores the subtle dialogue between sound, breath, and embodied awareness. Through yoga, pranayama, meditation, philosophical inquiry, and deeply restorative sound experiences, participants are invited into a layered journey of grounding, perception, and integration. Beginning with embodied presence and physiological stability, the weekend gradually attunes to subtler dimensions of awareness — where listening deepens, breath refines, and experience becomes increasingly felt. With the heart as a central orienting field, we explore awareness not as abstraction, but as lived and embodied reality. The retreat unfolds through: • Grounding and breath-centered yoga practices • Explorations of mantra, prana, perception, and the felt field • Heart-centered meditation and inquiry • Nāda Yoga with live string resonance • Restorative sound immersions • Gentle integration and reflection Designed for those drawn to subtle awareness, contemplative practice, and embodied inquiry. |

Kim’s healing journey began through personal illness in 2007 — an experience that became a profound catalyst for awakening and transformation. Within a few years, she completed an apprenticeship and opened her own practice, dedicated to supporting others on their path of healing and self-discovery. Drawing from extensive training in Core Energetics, Reiki, sound healing, somatic practice, and spiritual counseling, Kim’s work weaves together the seen and unseen. Her crystal sound immersions invite deep restoration, nervous-system settling, and reconnection to the body’s innate wisdom. She is also the author of Interconnected: Exploring the Sacred Webs that Hold, Heal and Guide Us |

Charlie's path into holistic healing began through his own recovery from serious illness, when conventional approaches offered few answers. What emerged was a deep commitment to sound as a primary healing modality and a calling to share its transformative potential with others.
For over 20 years, Charlie has cultivated an integrative practice centered in immersive sound healing. Using vibration to guide the nervous system into deep stillness, he creates space for subtle energetic shifts and restoration. His work is supported by training in Bio-Dynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Acupressure, Reiki, and Theta Healing, offering a grounded and comprehensive approach to holistic care. Through resonant instruments and layered harmonic frequencies, Charlie invites participants into profound relaxation, coherence, and inner peace. |
A Timeless Icon Of Schenectady History In 1814 the building The Stockade Inn now calls home was constructed as the Mohawk Bank. After decades of being a fine first location, the bank found a new home on State Street, the Stockade Inn building would live on as a family home to prominent Schenectady residents for decades. In the 1870s it would become a school for a few decades until in 1904 the city sold it to the Mohawk Club. The building would become a premiere destination for businessmen interested in the hunting and social opportunities it offered. At its peak the club had over 600 members, many of which were regarded is leaders of business at the national level. After declines in membership the Mohawk Club sold the building in 2003 and it began its life as an Inn. The newest owner, Urban Initiatives Group, purchased the inn in 2020, and intends to retain the building’s historic charm, while elevating the Inn to a luxurious, modern standard.
