Services Offered
Private Restorative Sessions-Take some time for yourself to experience the nurturing benefits of a truly restorative yoga
practice designed just for you. Savor the deep rest and relaxation that arises as you are lovingly placed into a series of fully-supported, simple postures utilizing blankets, bolsters, and other props. Each pose is sustained for a period of time long enough, approximately 10-15 minutes, to enable the nervous system to settle, fostering stillness and ease in the body and mind. Additional benefits you may experience through your restorative session include a reduction in muscle tension and fatigue, relief from chronic pain, and improved digestion and immunity. The practice may also help to minimize symptoms of depression and anxiety. You will be deeply cared for throughout the session as a safe space is cultivated and held for you, allowing you to go inward and just be. As the tension dissolves and the sweetness comes forth, you will experience a deep sense of well-being that will stay with you long after your practice is over. You will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. No yoga experience is necessary to benefit from this beautiful healing practice, just the ability
to get down on and up from the floor.
Karen is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), trained in the Bhakti tradition, under the guidance of Gopi Kinnicutt (ERYT-500). She completed her training in 2015 at Yoga Mandali and has been teaching ever since. Karen specializes in restorative yoga, having completed over 100 hours of study with Ann Saffi Biasetti (PhD, LCSW-R, ERYT-500, C-IAYT) through Ann’s Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Program, Level 1 (2016) and Level 2 (2018), also at Yoga Mandali.

Karen brings to the mat years of mentoring, guiding, and helping people. She first became interested in yoga as a way to stay fit and active. When life got messy, Karen’s yoga practice became her refuge and conduit for working through anxiety, depression, and grief. This experience inspired her to become a teacher and share the gift of yoga with others. Karen is
devoted to fostering compassion, humility, empathy, and openness in her classes and private sessions. Let her guide you on your own personal journey in a warm, safe, and welcoming environment, one breath at a time.
